Makeup for women over 50
The Press-and-Set method for mature skin: no heavy foundation settling into lines, no drawer of new products, and no tutorials made for 25-year-olds.
Does it work for me?
Each has a simple cause and a simple fix. None need new products.
“My foundation settles into my lines.”
It’s how it goes on, not your skin. Press, don’t drag, and use less.
“My makeup is gone by lunch.”
The Press-and-Set routine locks it in so it lasts all day.
“My skin looks dry and patchy.”
Color clings to dry spots. A minute of moisture first smooths everything.
“My brows look harsh.”
Go a shade lighter, use tiny feathery strokes, brush upward.
“My eyes look smaller than they used to.”
Skip the lower rim and tight-line the top for definition without heaviness.
“I can never find my shade.”
Swatch on the jaw in daylight and wear a sample for a few hours first.
How it works
Most trouble after fifty comes from old habits, not your skin. These are the first things I fix, and every one is free.
Dragging pushes foundation into fine lines. Tap it in with a damp sponge and use less.
One minute of moisture before color helps everything sit smoother.
Skip all-over powder and baking. A touch on the T-zone is enough.
Lighter shade, short strokes, brushed up. Rested, not severe.
Leave the lower rim bare and tight-line the top lid.
Sweep up and out along the cheekbone, and choose satin lips over dark matte.
Test on the jaw in daylight and live in a sample before you buy.

Meet Regina
I teach practical makeup for women over fifty: plain steps, simple tools, no hype. The best lessons are the simplest, so I share them plainly and you can try one this morning.
Not every tip suits every face, and that’s fine. Take what works, leave what doesn’t, and enjoy it. Makeup washes off, so it’s safe to experiment.
